Pärnu Art ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2023
Exhibition designer: Eveli Varik

08.11-30.12.2023
Pärnu City Gallery Town Hall
Uus 4, Pärnu

You are invited to the opening of the exhibition on Wednesday, November 8 at 5 p.m.!

On Wednesday, November 8, the annual exhibition of Pärnu art, which has already become a tradition, will be opened in the Pärnu City Gallery. As has become customary, the exhibition consists of the latest creations of artists and hobby artists related to Pärnu and Pärnumaa. The annual exhibition is a developing and inspiring exhibition format in the Pärnu art space, where professional artists and amateurs take their measurements.

If until now the exhibition has been designed trying to accommodate all those who want to participate in the gallery, the number of works that arrived last year showed that it is no longer possible to function in this way, the works simply cannot fit.

In connection with this, the artist-designer Eveli Varik was invited to carry out the selection and design of the exhibition works.

“The realization of the design of the exhibition is more complicated, because the works of hobbyists and professional artists are often very different both in terms of the treatment of their subjects and their format. However, I highly value this kind of exhibition format as a designer, as it gives a person active in the art scene the opportunity to position themself in this context.

The exhibition answers the question – where do I belong? Am I good enough already? Where to develop? What topics interest me?” Eveli Varik
